不同于很多虚拟原声鼓插件，Virtual Drummer PHAT 没有在界面上显示采样鼓的图像。而是提供了一个直观的现代图形用户界面，提供了清楚标签控制完全不会让你分心。位于顶部的是鼓映射图，显示了哪个 MIDI 音符对应哪个打击乐或鼓 Loop。鼓混音器位于底部，中间有额外的音调和表现控制。这些附加的控制摆阔摇摆，敲击速度，人性化以及音色预设模式，可在输出为声音增加压缩和 EQ。
Virtual Drummer 2带有三种不同风格的虚拟鼓手，分别是：
